Effingham, IL – January 23, 2025 – The Effingham County Chamber welcomes Discovery Christian School to its roster of local businesses and organizations. As a ministry of Christ’s Church in Effingham, Discovery Christian School offers comprehensive education from preschool through 8th grade, emphasizing academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social development.

Established in 2004 as Discovery Garden Preschool, the institution expanded in 2021 to include elementary and middle school grades, now serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade. The school’s mission is to provide students with excellent academic, social, and Bible-based education, guiding them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Discovery Christian School offers a nurturing environment where students receive age-appropriate education. The preschool program focuses on the total development of children, helping them grow academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The elementary and middle school programs aim to establish a strong foundation for learning, integrating biblical principles into all areas of life and education.

Prospective families are encouraged to learn more about the admissions process and schedule a visit to experience the school’s commitment to fostering a safe and warm community where all can grow.
