Effingham, IL – September 8, 2023 – The Effingham County Chamber, in partnership with the Effingham Daily News, reminds you of the nomination deadline for the prestigious 2023 Class of Top Community Leaders, presented by HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. The Top Leaders submission window closes on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Now in its 16th year, the highly regarded Top Community Leaders Under 40 award seeks to honor exceptional individuals who have demonstrated remarkable business prowess, community engagement, and philanthropic leadership within Effingham County. We are on the lookout for visionary leaders committed to enhancing our community’s quality of life, creating a better environment for all to live, work, and prosper. Nominees must be aged 20 to 40 as of August 1, 2023, reside and work within Effingham County, and have made a significant impact on their community through their leadership endeavors.
The 4th Annual Up & Coming Leader award celebrates the potential of young leaders within our local high schools, poised to steer Effingham County towards a promising future. This accolade recognizes individuals aged 14 to 20 as of August 1, 2023, who are full-time high school students in Effingham County*. Candidates for this award exhibit a minimum of a “B” average, active involvement in extracurricular activities or leadership organizations, and substantial contributions to their community.
*High Schools include Altamont, Beecher City, Dieterich, Effingham, St. Anthony, and Teutopolis.

The crowning moment will occur during a celebratory dinner on Wednesday, November 15, hosted at the Keller Convention Center.
