The landscape of non-compete law in the U.S. is constantly changing, with many states passing legislation to ban or severely limit the enforcement of non-competes for certain workers. This presentation will provide an introduction to non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, as well as components of the Illinois Freedom to Work Act that relate to the enforcement of these agreements.

Led by two experienced employment attorneys, one of whom was the principal author of recent amendments to the Freedom to Work Act, attendees will discover the factors to consider when drafting restrictive covenants, learn best practices for employers wishing to enforce non-compete agreements, and gain understanding of how these agreements may impact hiring of potential future employees.
