Senior Services of Effingham County is seeking to fill an exciting position of Fiscal Assistant/Office Administrator and is offering the opportunity to experience career growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounting tasks including invoice processing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budget tracking
- Prepare financial reports, Excel spreadsheets, and documentation for internal review
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and financial documentation
- Support payroll processing and timekeeping verification as needed
- Manage daily office operations: supplies, scheduling, correspondence, and general workflow
- Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and provide administrative support to staff
- Communicate effectively with staff and external partners
- Assist with audits, grant reporting, and fiscal compliance activities
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn IT systems and hardware are required
Qualifications Desired:
- Previous experience in fiscal support, bookkeeping, accounting, or similar roles
- Proven office management or administrative coordination experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office-Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel knowledge of spreadsheets is a must
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Possess strong budgeting, financial, organizational & support skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and be held accountable
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Comfortable working in a complex, multi-tasking environment
- Desire to work with the aging population
- Can work independently and still thrive within a team setting
- Willingness to learn and advance within our organization
What We Offer:
- Normal working hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Paid 30-minute lunch

- Please note, Health Insurance is not included in the benefit package
- Pay will commensurate with experience and will start at $45,000+ annually ($21-$25/hr.)
