Central IL Public Transit/Effingham Public Transportation Dispatcher/Driver

C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit/Effingham Public Transportation is hiring a full-time Dispatcher/Driver with a base of operations in Effingham.

Dispatch responsibilities include:

• scheduling transportation requests
• coordination/monitoring of daily routes
• management of contract routes
• vehicle and driver assignments
• maintaining communications with driver and operations
• validation of daily trip sheets
• ensuring accuracy of records

Driver responsibilities include:

• serving the public transportation needs with care to ensure the safety of the customers and vehicles
• providing exceptional customer service

Preferred candidates should possess strong computer skills, customer service aptitude, numerical and analytical skills, ability to think creatively, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
Must be willing to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

C.E.F.S. is a drug-free workplace and applicants must pass pre-employment requirements including a pre-employment drug test.

Hourly wage: $18.03/hr | Position is Monday through Friday
