Learn How to Support Your Friends, Family, and Neighbors with Mental Health First Aid

The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. By participating in this course, you will develop the confidence to provide initial support to individuals who may be struggling and help them connect with appropriate resources.

  • Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
  • Identify common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
  • Understand effective ways to engage with a person in crisis.
  • Learn how to facilitate connections with professional assistance.
  • Acquire self-care tools and techniques to ensure your own well-being while offering support.
