Pike Avenue Partners is excited to announce its acquisition of SDS Technology (SDS). Pike Avenue Partners is owned by a combination of the Bernie Blanchette, Paul Koerner, and Phil Koerner families. The new ownership group is excited to evolve from being primary customers of SDS Technology to now joining the SDS family.
SDS has just recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Steve Schallert, former President and CEO, saw a need for high-quality custom programming and IT services in the Effingham area. Through the years, SDS has acquired several local computer companies, providing SDS with continued growth and helping it serve its mission of offering the best technology services from highly qualified professionals in the area. SDS is known for its technological expertise, prompt service, security solutions, training and the innovation it brings to the Effingham and surrounding areas. Pike Avenue Partners looks forward to continuing to serve the company’s mission while offering new lines of service to best meet customer needs.

All current staff will remain with SDS Technology. Steve Schallert will remain with the company for a period of time to complete the transition. Mr. Schallert states, “I am very excited about this change at SDS. It will bring more resources to the company to support its continued growth and be well-positioned against the new challenges in the technology business. The new ownership has the same family values and community involvement that we do. They are a perfect match. My wife and I look forward to the future of full retirement, knowing the company is in good hands.”
