Effingham, IL – March 21, 2024, PAVE (Promoting a Vision for Effingham County) is thrilled to announce the Community Breakfast slated for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the Carriage House Event Center in Altamont. The event will feature progress updates from the PAVE Action Teams and the City of Altamont, along with a keynote address by guest speaker Kurt Becker.

Kurt Becker is a native of Altamont and a graduate of both Altamont Community High School and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Kurt is an independent contractor in the sportscasting field, with an emphasis on Thoroughbred racing and NASCAR. He currently serves as track announcer at Keeneland Racecourse (Lexington, Ky.) and as a play-by-play announcer for Motor Racing Network.

Within PAVE, numerous committed volunteers are actively pursuing a 20-year vision aimed at transforming Effingham County into an optimal environment for living, working, and flourishing. PAVE channels its efforts through five distinct Action Teams: Parks & Recreation, Housing, Workforce & Education, Childcare, and Festivals & Events, all dedicated to meaningful endeavors.

Join us at the Carriage House Event Center on Tuesday, April 16th, starting at 7:00 am, for discussions on PAVE initiatives and insights from Kurt Becker. Proceeds from the event will support the initiatives of PAVE Action Teams.
