Effingham, IL – September 15, 2025 – The Ann Crooker St. Clair Chapter, NSDAR presented Effingham County a NexTrex bench awarded by the Conservation Committee because of the Chapter’s recycling efforts. Chapter members collected 1,000 lbs. of plastic preventing it from ending up in our area landfills. The donated bench will be placed on the Effingham County Culture Center Museum grounds.
Effingham County Board Chairman Josh Douthit stated, “We are grateful for the bench donation from the Ann Crooker St. Clair Chapter of the NSDAR and appreciate their efforts in keeping our environment clean of plastic debris.”
