EFFINGHAM & SHELBVILLE, Ill. — HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital’s and HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital’s new Chief Administrative Officer, Anthony Powers (center), was honored during a commissioning ceremony on Oct. 2 in St. Anthony’s Chapel. HSHS Central Illinois Market Chief Operating Officer Chad Markham (right), provided remarks welcoming Powers to the HSHS family and HSHS Central Market Chief Executive Officer Matt Fry (left), presented Powers with a San Damiano Cross, a significant crucifix in Franciscan history. Additionally, a blessing was offered to Powers by Father Adam Prichard, Spiritual Care Minister. Powers began his new role with HSHS on Sept. 16.
