Mattoon, IL (August 24, 2026) First Mid Bank & Trust (First Mid) is proud to announce that Bryan Mitchell, VP, Director of Enterprise IT Support, successfully completed the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, marking a significant achievement in his professional career. He also earned the Certificate of Executive Leadership from the Wisconsin School of Business Professional and Executive Development, its highest-level leadership certificate.
Mitchell has been a valued member of the First Mid team for almost five years. With an extensive background in information technology, he brings strong technical expertise and leadership experience to the organization. In 2023, Mitchell received the First Mid Chairman’s Award for Excellence, the company’s highest employee recognition, honoring team members who demonstrate First Mid’s core values while making exceptional contributions to the organization.

The Graduate School of Banking is a rigorous 25-month program designed to prepare banking professionals for leadership roles within the financial services industry. The program combines three resident sessions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with intersession projects, case studies, simulations, and real-world application. Its comprehensive curriculum provides participants with a broader understanding of areas including finance, risk, technology, strategy, leadership, and change management.
