Effingham, March 18, 2024, Effingham Unit 40 Schools has completed many building renovation projects which prolongs the health of their existing facilities for future use. Despite these updates, the family of aging facilities falls short of providing students with the competing opportunities that come with start-of-the-art learning centers.
40Forward is a citizen-led community program charged with developing a long-range improvement plan for the Effingham school district. They believe that the community should have a voice in the decisions of improving our public schools for the future.
Join your friends, neighbors, and teachers to develop a strategic improvement plan for Unit 40 Schools. Session #1 focused on “Where We Are Now” while Session #2 will concentrate on “Where We Want To Go.” If you have an opinion about school safety, operational efficiency, what kind of schools this community deserves and where they should be built, then Community Engagement Session #2 needs your participation.
Attend this public meeting on Thursday, March 21st at the Effingham Event Center from 6:30pm – 8:30pm to participate in scenario-building activities that will become the school district’s long-range improvement plan.
