Fifth-generation retailer expands Wright Sleep collection with 28 locally manufactured models
Dieterich, Illinois (March 3, 2026) We spend one-third of our lives sleeping and that third greatly impacts the other two, yet nearly one in three U.S. adults do not get enough sleep, according to the CDC. So, a Central Illinois retailer is positioning itself as part of the solution.
Wright’s Furniture & Flooring, a fifth-generation, family-owned company celebrating 137 years in business, has expanded its Wright Sleep mattress line to 28 models, all manufactured locally in Central Illinois. The company introduced seven new designs in 2025, marking its largest expansion of the private-label line to date. The move reflects growing consumer interest in sleep quality, affordability and locally sourced products.
“Sleep impacts everything from mental clarity, physical health and productivity,” said John Wright, president of Wright’s Furniture and Flooring. “We also know that the quality of your sleep can be very dependent on the quality of the mattress. Our goal over the last several years has been to create a line of locally-manufactured mattress options that will help people get better rest while also being at an accessible price point. When comparing our Wright Sleep mattress line to the household name brands we also offer, Wright Sleep is the clear favorite. That is a testament to the excellent Midwest-made quality and attention to detail.”
Unlike many mattress brands that rely on overseas production, Wright Sleep mattresses are built in Central Illinois using high-gauge Swiss-engineered steel spring systems designed to reduce motion transfer and improve long-term durability. The mattresses also feature four-way stretch, moisture-wicking fabric intended to regulate temperature and minimize nighttime disruptions. Wright said its local production model also allows for tighter quality control and quicker delivery times for customers.
“From an industry-wide perspective, we’re seeing that the global mattress market is continuing to grow as people move away from the “one-size-fits-all” mattress options,” said Alex Wright, Vice President of Wright’s Furniture and Flooring. “Consumers, as well as the industry as a whole, are recognizing that everyone has different preferences when it comes to how they like to sleep, and having the ability to come into a store and try each mattress out before you buy it, is an important part of the buying process.”
