Effingham, IL, July 26 – The Effingham Regional Career Academy (ERCA), a pioneering public/private partnership fostering collaboration between business, education, and the community, is set to take center stage at the August First Friday Luncheon on August 4th.
ERCA’s mission is clear – to provide high school students, adult learners, and incumbent workers with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the current and future job market. By offering sustainable pathways to high skill, high demand careers, ERCA aims to attract, retain, and grow area businesses, ultimately driving economic growth and development in the region.
Through this dynamic partnership, educators and employers combine forces to inspire students and workers to pursue training and education for high-demand careers within the regional workforce. By creating targeted educational opportunities and cultivating a pipeline of skilled individuals for area employers, ERCA is poised to significantly impact future access to a highly skilled workforce, as well as the region’s ability to adapt to forthcoming industry trends.
“We are excited to share ERCA’s innovative approach and the profound impact it has on our community at the August First Friday Luncheon,” said Lucinda Hart, CAE, MBA, IOM, Chamber President & CEO. “By empowering individuals with essential skills and knowledge, ERCA is shaping the future of our regional workforce and driving economic prosperity.”
The August First Friday Luncheon will feature esteemed speakers, Norma Lansing from Effingham Regional Career Academy, and Jerry Tkachuk from Lake Land Community College, who will delve into ERCA’s accomplishments and vision for the future.
