Effingham County Chamber welcomes new member, Resin, with ribbon cutting

Effingham, IL – April 26, 2024, The Effingham County Chamber is pleased to welcome its newest member, Resin, an innovative automated recycling station dedicated to rewarding individuals for their sorted cans and bottles.

Founded by Kelly Koskelin and Cassandra Rommel, Resin stands out as a unique platform ideal for group fundraisers. Leveraging their backgrounds in automation and computer vision, the co-founders have developed a user-friendly system that not only counts recyclables but also provides personalized feedback on items that cannot be recycled.

Resin offers a straightforward and user-friendly approach to recycling. To get started, individuals can sign up for an account at app.raisewithresin.com using just an email address. Once registered, they can bring their sorted aluminum cans and clear plastic bottles (Type 1, PET) to Resin’s location at 305 E Fayette Ave, conveniently located next to the Gabby Goat.

At the station, users can scan a QR code to unlock a drawer and deposit their recyclables. Payments for the recycled items are processed through Resin’s mobile website, allowing users to receive their earnings via PayPal or Venmo.

The Resin Station offers an engaging and easy way for groups to fundraise while promoting recycling and reducing litter. The platform provides tools within their app to generate flyers and social media posts, making fundraising campaigns straightforward and effective.

The Effingham County Chamber encourages the community to sign up at app.raisewithresin.com and spread the word about this exciting initiative. Resin is actively seeking groups to partner with as they continue to develop their fundraising product. If you’re raising money for new uniforms or hosting an event and want to bring in funds on top of ticket sales, they want to hear from you. No fundraiser is too small!

For more information, follow Resin on Facebook or Instagram @raise.with.resin or email hello@raisewithresin.com.

The Effingham County Chamber encourages the community to explore the benefits of a Chamber investment and learn how it supports local businesses and community development. Visit EffinghamCountyChamber.com or contact Membership Director Becky Brown at (217) 347-6283 to learn more.
