EFFINGHAM, IL – November 3, 2026 – The Effingham County Chamber recently celebrated six businesses and organizations marking new chapters in Effingham County through new locations, expanded spaces and added services.

Recent celebrations included Community Support Systems, Deb’s Catering, EquipmentShare, KetAssure IV, Northside Quick & Clean and Wright at Home Interiors. While each investment came about for a different reason, together they reflect continued growth and commitment to serving Effingham County.

From businesses creating room to grow and organizations bringing services together under one roof to new construction, added services and a company establishing its first permanent Effingham location, the celebrations highlighted several ways Chamber members are investing in their futures locally.

Community Support Systems celebrated a major milestone with its new home at 223 Harvester St. in Teutopolis, bringing local programs, teams and the people the organization serves together under one roof.

The project was the focus of the Effingham County Opportunity Foundation and Community Support Systems “One Community. Under One Roof.” capital campaign. Years in the making, the project expanded and renovated Community Support Systems’ Community Day Services facility to create a larger, more unified space for the organization.

Community Support Systems provides services and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, with programs focused on its mission of enhancing opportunities to Live, Learn, Work and Play.

The new facility represents more than additional space. By bringing services and teams together in one location, the project provides room for continued growth while strengthening connections among the individuals, families and staff who are part of CSS.

Deb’s Catering marked a new chapter with the opening of its location at 9 Do It Drive in Altamont.

Following a fire that forced the longtime catering business from its previous location, owners Al and Deb Schultz moved forward with a new space and the opportunity to continue serving customers throughout the area.

Deb’s Catering continues to provide catering for events throughout the region while also expanding what customers can find at its new location. The business has introduced a weekday hot bar, giving customers another way to enjoy Deb’s food outside of a catered event.

The new location represents both a return and a step forward for the business, providing a new home for its catering operations while creating opportunities to serve customers in new ways.

EquipmentShare recently celebrated the opening of its first permanent Effingham location at 1900 Pike Ave.

The new location provides equipment and tool rentals for construction, industrial, commercial and other projects, with offerings ranging from heavy equipment and aerial lifts to landscaping equipment and smaller tools. EquipmentShare also provides equipment maintenance and repair services, parts and access to used equipment.

The Effingham location gives EquipmentShare a permanent local presence and provides area contractors, businesses and customers with another resource for equipment, technology and jobsite support.

KetAssure IV recently moved into its own space at 602 W. Franklin Ave. in Effingham, just one block south of HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.Founded by Cory Hess, ACNP-BC, KetAssure has served the Effingham area since 2021 and specializes in ketamine-based treatments for individuals seeking additional options for their mental health and overall well-being.

The move takes KetAssure from a shared location into a dedicated space of its own while keeping the practice centrally located in Effingham. The new setting provides the team with a space designed specifically around the services and care they provide.

Northside Ford Lincoln recently expanded its investment in Effingham with the addition of Northside Quick & Clean, a new car wash located at 1703 Ford Ave.

Located directly behind the dealership, Northside Quick & Clean adds another convenient vehicle-care option on Effingham’s north side. The facility offers touchless car washing, complimentary vacuums, multiple wash packages, monthly wash memberships, and fleet options for businesses.

The project expands Northside Ford Lincoln’s existing presence in the community while adding a new service and resource for residents, commuters and businesses in the area.

Wright at Home Interiors officially opened its new building at 307 S. Willow St. in Effingham this fall, moving across the street from its former location as part of the Fayette Road expansion.

The newly constructed building adds approximately 3,000 square feet and nearly doubles the size of the Wright at Home showroom. The additional space allows for expanded flooring and shade displays, new vendors and products, and more room to showcase the residential and commercial design services Wright at Home provides.

Wright at Home has served in the Effingham area since 1997, offering flooring, custom window treatments, showers and backsplashes, furniture, home accents, design consultations and commercial design services.

The former Wright at Home building is slated for removal as part of the road expansion, making the new building both a response to changing infrastructure and an opportunity for the business to invest in a larger space for its customers.

While the circumstances behind each project are different, the six recent ribbon cuttings share a common thread: businesses and organizations choosing to invest in their futures in Effingham County.

“These ribbon cuttings represent much more than new addresses,” said Katie Koester, President & CEO of the Effingham County Chamber. “Each one tells a different story of growth, investment and commitment to our community. Whether it’s creating more room to serve customers, bringing programs together, establishing a permanent presence, adding new services or rebuilding and moving forward, we’re proud to celebrate these milestones with our members.”

The Effingham County Chamber celebrates ribbon cuttings for new businesses, expansions, relocations, new ownership, added services and other significant milestones throughout Effingham County.
