Events

Students entering 5th through 8th grade are invited to explore the exciting world of healthcare during the 3rd annual Jr. Laker Healthcare Camp in Effingham. Hosted by Lake Land College with support from the Perkins Program and community partners, this interactive camp introduces campers to a variety of healthcare careers through hands on activities and engaging experiences.

Each evening focuses on a different healthcare field, giving students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals while discovering potential career paths. On the final night, parents are invited to attend a special showcase where campers share what they’ve learned throughout the week.

Registration includes a free camp T-shirt, water bottle, healthcare-themed goodie kit, and dinner each evening.
