Effingham, IL – May 18, 2026 — The Effingham County Chamber welcomes The Human Bean as a new member following the recent ribbon cutting celebration for the locally owned coffee drive-thru.

Located at 406 N. Keller Drive in Effingham, The Human Bean offers handcrafted coffee, espresso, frozen drinks, teas, smoothies, energy drinks, and breakfast items served with fast, friendly service. The Effingham location is now locally owned and operated by sisters Tiffany Stewart and Sloan Kessinger.

Originally founded in Oregon in 1998, The Human Bean has grown into a nationally recognized coffee franchise known for quality beverages and customer service. The Effingham location continues that mission while bringing a local ownership touch to the community.

“We’re excited to welcome The Human Bean to the Chamber and celebrate this new chapter of local ownership,” said Katie Koester, President & CEO of the Effingham County Chamber. “Tiffany and Sloan are creating a fun and welcoming experience for customers while continuing to invest in our local business community.”

In addition to specialty coffee drinks, The Human Bean also offers flavored energy drinks, cold brew, teas, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and kid-friendly options.

Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet the new owners, and support this locally owned business.
