Effingham, IL – November 14, 2025 — The Effingham County Chamber celebrated the recent ribbon cutting and open house for the newly opened HSHS St. Anthony’s Center for Pediatric Therapy, held on Thursday, November 13. Located at 904 Medical Park Drive in Effingham, the center is dedicated to serving infants, children and adolescents through specialized physical, occupational and speech therapies.
The Center’s interdisciplinary team is equipped to support a broad range of diagnoses including neurological, orthopedic and developmental conditions. Parent-and child-centered, each child is evaluated one-on-one and receives an individualized treatment plan designed to help them engage in meaningful activities at home, school and in the community.
Special features of the therapy program include an intensive therapy program using a Universal Exercise Unit—commonly known as a “SpiderCage”—which is unique to the area and helps children improve balance, strength and mobility in a safe controlled environment.
“We’re proud to play a part in celebrating this important milestone for the Center for Pediatric Therapy.,” said Katie Koester, President & CEO of the Effingham County Chamber. “This facility strengthens our community by providing children and families with local access to exceptional therapy services focused on helping kids reach their full potential.”
The Center operates Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and accepts physician referrals. For more information, contact 217-347-1685 or HSHS.org/st-anthonys/services/rehabilitation/pediatric-therapy.
