EFFINGHAM, Ill., – Starting the week of Oct. 6, Sutter Disposal customers in Effingham County will have their trash picked up by Rumpke Waste & Recycling.
Rumpke purchased certain waste collection assets from Sutter Disposal on Oct. 3, including garbage trucks and its residential and commercial customers in the County.
“We’ve experienced significant growth in recent years, and we are adjusting our operations to ensure customers receive dependable service,” said Christopher Sutter, owner Sutter Disposal. “Rumpke is a fellow family-owned company, with a proven history of providing exceptional service. We know our customers are in good hands.”
Sutter added that he has been working closely with Rumpke to make this a smooth transition and some of his team members have also joined Rumpke.
“Sutter Disposal has built a successful business and has a reputation for providing customers with great service. We will carry on that tradition,” said Eric Curtis, region vice president, Rumpke.
Rates and service days will initially remain unchanged, and customers will soon receive a letter from Sutter and Rumpke explaining additional details of the transition. In the meantime, if customers have questions, they can contact Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171.
