On Tuesday, April 8, we will host a fascinating Lunch & Learn featuring Nathan Jones at the Effingham Event Center from 11:30a-1p.

Nathan will share insights from his work with NASA, including the role of analog missions, the CHAPEA (Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog) program, and the science of human space exploration.

Bio:
Nathan Jones, a Springfield, Illinois native, has built an impressive career ensuring the well-being of astronauts in the demanding conditions of space. His experience provides valuable lessons in problem-solving, adaptability, and innovation—principles that apply to businesses and individuals alike.

As a board-certified emergency medicine physician, Jones specializes in prehospital and austere medicine, equipping him with the expertise to navigate extreme and unpredictable environments—whether in space or on Earth. He currently serves as an emergency medicine physician, emergency medical director, and tactical medical physician at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Additionally, he is an associate professor of emergency medicine at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he helps train the next generation of medical professionals.

Jones holds a Bachelor of Science in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned his Medical Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.

Cancellation Policy
*Cancellations of registrations and refunds will be issued in full if received on or before noon a week (seven weekdays) prior to the event. After noon CST on said date, no refunds will be issued. If the event is rescheduled, all registrations will be honored for the rescheduled date or may be refunded in full of a refund request**. If the event is canceled, all registration will be refunded in full. **Refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to Nicole Morrison. Please allow up to five (5) business days to process your refund request.
