Effingham, Illinois – It is time again for the annual United Way of Effingham County Gala. Formerly known as the Witches Ball, the Monster Mash Bash will be held on October 11th at the Keller Convention Center.
Doors will open at 6PM. There will be a silent and live auction, costumer contest, dinner, drinks, music and more. United Way will also be raffling off a 2021 Club Car Golf Cart that night.
New this year, live entertainment will be added to the event. William Mitchell will be performing a hypnotist show where there will be a Celebrity Hypnosis. Six local individuals are on board to compete to raise money for United Way’s 2024 19 local partner agencies. Whoever raises the most money will join Mr. Mitchell on stage for hypnotizing during the program.
The celebrity contestants are Chandra Niemerg with The Royal School of Cosmetology, Courtney Yockey with Effingham Regional Growth Alliance, Jon Frohning with ProRehab (also a United Way Board Member), Katie Koester with Effingham County Chamber, Kevin Dust with Dust & Son Auto Supplies and Sara Ruholl with The Beanstalk Boutique.
