Effingham, IL — On Tuesday, June 13, the Feast Day of Saint Anthony, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital held an unveiling and blessing of the second panel of the “Canticle of the Sun” artwork by Dr. Ruben Boyajian, artist, general surgeon and medical director of St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness and Cancer Care Services. The artwork is expressed through mosaics and is inspired by the well-known prayer written by St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. This is the second panel of a three-panel artwork display located in the hospital’s Heritage hallway that overlooks the Healing Garden. Following remarks by HSHS St. Anthony’s President and CEO Chad Markham and Dr. Boyajian, Father Adam Prichard, St. Anthony’s priest chaplain, blessed the artwork.
