Thank you for participating in the 2023 EffingHAM-JAM Hometown Throwdown scheduled for Friday, July 21 in Effingham, IL at 5:30p.
Your single entry fee will allow you to compete in all categories – chicken breast, pork loin, sauce/rub, side dish, Top Hog (amateur & corporate), and Grand Champion (overall). – More details can be found in the 2023 Rules Packet.
Entry fee: $100, includes one t-shirt, 10lbs chicken breasts, 10lbs pork loin, (2) 8ft tables, & water access Spots are first come, first served.
Payment:
- Accepted forms of payment include: credit card, check, or money order (must be sent upon completion of this application)
- Make checks payable to: “Effingham County Chamber”
- Mail to: 903 N Keller Dr., PO Box 643, Effingham, IL 62401
- Call the Chamber to coordinate credit card payments

Spaces are 20′ x 10′
Pop-up tents are the responsibility of the team
One vehicle is allowed per team. Additional team member vehicles can be parked offsite
Water is provided at no charge

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: in consideration of your acceptance of this entry form and fee, i, the undersigned intending to be legally bound, do hereby for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages i may have against the Chamber foundation of effingham county, and their agents and successors and assigns for any and all injuries suffered to me in this event. I further grant permission to the chamber foundation of effingham county and/or agents authorized by them to use any photographs, videos, or other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. All Pit masters are responsible for their sites and any team members present.
