Outreach and Literacy Resource Specialist

Outreach and Literacy Resource Specialist position available located at the Effingham County Outreach Office and Learning Center.

Full time position M-F 8:30-4:30.

The Outreach and Literacy Resource Specialist will assist the Outreach Office and Learning Center in providing services. As part of the Outreach and Literacy team, the Resource Specialist will assist with document collection, waiting room activities, scheduling, and office maintenance. The Resource Specialist will answer phones, greet customers, provide information and referrals, assist with benefit enrollment and VITA Tax Program, assist in preparing learner materials, assist in monitoring learners in the Learning Center, and enter data into both physical files and electronic databases.

Qualifications include competency in computer software, good communication skills, and a positive attitude. High school degree or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
