DESCRIPTION:The Effingham County Chamber office will be closed Thursday and Friday\, November 26–27\, in observance of Thanksgiving. \nWe are grateful for our members\, volunteers\, and community partners who make Effingham County strong year-round. \nWe hope you enjoy time with family and friends — and we look forward to seeing everyone downtown on Saturday for Hometown Christmas as we kick off the holiday season together! \nThe office will reopen on Monday during regular business hours.

SUMMARY:FISH 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner
DESCRIPTION:The Effingham County FISH Organization will host its 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thursday\, November 26\, 2026. The event is free and open to all Effingham County residents and their families. \nThree meal options are available:\n• Dine-in: The congregate meal begins at 12:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church\, 3600 S. Banker Street\, Effingham.\n• Home delivery: Meals will be delivered beginning after 10 a.m.\n• Curbside pickup: Available from 11 a.m.–Noon at Cornerstone Christian Church. \nReservations may be made November 1–23 by calling 217-994-1350. \nMeals are free\, with donations appreciated. Donations may be given to the delivery driver\, left in the donation bucket at the church or mailed to FISH\, P.O. Box 473\, Effingham\, IL 62401. \nVolunteers are also needed to help package and deliver meals. Meal packaging begins at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
