31st Annual 8th Grade Career Conference: Your Next Step Forward (Afternoon Session)

The 2023 8th Grade Career Conference will bring almost 2,000 eighth graders and their educators from surrounding communities to Lake Land College’s campus to learn about future career options.

Your business’ participation in this exciting conference is vital to educating students about career paths and choices within our communities as they prepare to choose their high school classes. At the Conference, presenters will enlighten students on different occupations, and discuss the educational/technical needs for a multitude of vocations.

The Career Conference is divided into morning and afternoon sessions on both days. (Morning sessions will begin at 9:40 a.m. and conclude at 11:10 a.m. Afternoon sessions will begin at noon and conclude at 1:30 pm.) Kicking off each session will be author, Brooks Harper. Students will then move to the “career conference” where they will circulate throughout the Field House visiting presenters’ tables and booths.

Full day commitments are not required; participating in daily or individual sessions is an option.

Exposing these youth to a wide variety of career opportunities enables them to prepare for their educational needs in high school which ultimately affect their college and career objectives. Any time you could contribute to the conference would be invaluable. If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact us. We look forward to seeing you at the 31st annual 8th Grade Career Conference!
